Boko Haram re-occupies Bosso town

Boko Haram has re-taken the town of Bosso in southeastern part of Niger after clashes with soldiers from Niger and Nigeria.


A military source told Reuters on Monday that Boko Haram first took the town near the Nigerian border on Friday in an attack in which 30 soldiers from Niger and two from Nigeria were killed.

A security source told DAILY POST Monday evening that joint troops from countries that make up the Lake Chad basin are preparing to storm Bosso.
