Senate approves life sentence for rape, underage sex
The Senate on Wednesday passed the Sexual Offences Bill, 2015 which prescribes life imprisonment for rapists and those who have sexual intercourse with children under 11 years.

Reps reduce age qualification for presidency, govs, senate to 30yrs
As Age Qualification Bill passes 2nd reading
HE Bill seeking to reduce the age qualifications for interested candidates to contest for the positions of President, governor and senate in the country to 30 years yesterday passed second reading in the House of Representatives. The bill, which also makes provision for independent candidacy into the country’s electoral process, further reduces the age qualifications to contest for the House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly to 25 years.

The investigation from the report recommends that the 2013 renewal contract between the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and SystemSpecs be terminated immediately, and the transaction fee of one per cent (1%) for e-collections and transfers be disregarded.
