FG needs to communicate with Nigerians —APC chief

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Chief Ayo Akande, has asked the Federal Government to effectively communicate its plans to Nigerians, saying doing this would allay the fears of the citizenry.

Akande said the Federal Government needed a good communication machinery to convince Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari meant well for the country, adding that there was hope for a bright future.

“It is easy to criticise, but people must understand the circumstance of the present time. The government needs a good communication machinery to make people understand that the President means well and that there is a great hope of a bright future ahead,” the APC chieftain said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Akande advised Muslim faithful across the country to maximise the holy month of Ramadan to pray for good health for President Buhari so as to continue to lead the nation well.

He also enjoined Muslims to pray for Nigeria to overcome its security and economic challenges.

The APC chieftain also urged Nigerians to show love to one another.

He said, “The present mood of the nation calls for prayers and this is a good time to do that.  As we know, our President is out of the country. This is a time to offer prayers to God on his behalf for good health and God’s guidance.”
