The governor of Bauchi State, Mohammed Abubakar has credited President Muhammadu for the gradual rise in world oil prices.
The Governor who has asked Nigerians to be rational with their expectations said Buhari had a lot to do as he inherited a systematic rot caused by years of the People’s Democratic Party led government.
“People should not expect magic from APC. We are committed. You can see from the time we have taken over Power has improved and even oil, which price has been dwindling has started to pick up from the effort of Mr. President.
“Well, let me say that it is unfair for the APC government to be judged this way. People have forgotten that the party that held sway before, held sway for 16 years and if there was any rot it took 16 years to build such rot,” Governor Abubakar said.
He stated that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) would need 16 years to put back Nigeria on track.
“So people should not be impatient. People should give us at least 16 years and see if we cannot be able to turn around all the rot that the PDP has done, but not to judge us in 9 or 8 months it is not fair. So, I am assuring Nigerians that we and the APC government at the centre are on course and we will deliver Insha Allah!”
