OSHIOMHOLE PLANNING TO BRING BACK OKADA RIDERS AND NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH TO WIN 2016 ELECTION

There is a report currently circulating on Whatsapp and Facebook written by one Agas Oshehor on how the comrade governor intends to bring back Okada riders and Neighbourhood Watch. According to the story, the meeting was reportedly held few nights ago and the decision to bring back okada riders and Neighbourhood Watch was reached.

Although the story could not be verified but if the story is anything to go by, then the Comrade governor might find it very difficult to sell this to the people of Edo particularly that of the Okada riders. You would recall that sometime ago, the comrade governor unilaterally ban Okada riders within a very short notice with the excuse of taken chaos out of our lives and that he has also received security brief from Abuja that Okada riders should be ban with immediate effect in order for them not to be used by the Boko Haram sect to infiltrate Edo State.

If the comrade governor is bringing them back, the big question would be, has he be briefed also by Abuja that the security has improved in the country and the attempt by the terrorist sect to infiltrate Edo has been aborted? The governor must answer the question in clear terms else the accusation that he is bringing back what he called a menace on the altar of election might just be true. How would the government also convince Edo people that the Neighbourhood Watch which he scrapped for lack of funds would be re-introduced at a time when Federal allocation to the State is at his lowest in recent years because of the fall in oil price. Comrade Oshiomhole certainly has lots to explain to Edo people.
