opc3

Many will find this difficult to believe but Naij.com can confirm it that the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) just had a Christmas carol.

This will be the first of its kind since the formation of the Yoruba ethnic group agitation organisation. The maiden edition of OPC Christmas carol and nine lessons of Christmas was held at the All Season plaza, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday, December 23.

The carol was organised under the auspices of Gani Adams Foundation and this will come as a surprise to many who believed the organization is a traditional one and thus practices only traditional religion.

Otunba Adams disclosed that all religious believes come from God and that OPC has members from all religions thus the need to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with the Christians too.

The main sermon of the carol service was delivered by Pastor Olaide Kalia of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Agunlejika, Ijesa, Lagos. Other ministers of God present include Pastor Adesanya Oshinkalu, Primate Peter Oyebode of C & S church Abaranje, Ikotun, Lagos, Evangelist Donald Shoyoola, Venerable JAO Philips, Rev Koyejo Gbobade and others.

The event was coordinated by  Senior Prophet  Dr  Adebiyi  Philips of Church of the Lord, Aladura.

Three choir groups were treated the seated guests to melodious carol songs, RCCG choir from Agunlejika, The Church of the Lord (Aladura) Prayer Fellowship choir and choirs of Baptist church.
