Senator Ahmadu Ali Escapes Death By Whiskers At Audu’s 8-day Prayer

Former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ahmadu Ali, yesterday at the eight day prayer for Prince Abubakar Audu, escapes death by whiskers at Ogbonicha, Ofu local government area, Kogi State.

Senator Ahmadu Ali was among those who had been penciled down as one of the enemies of progress in Igala kingdom.

The former PDP Chairman was chased, stoned by irate youths suspected to be supporters of All Progressive Congress, APC who were said to be peeved by Senator Ahmadu Ali’s several comments on the podium during PDP campaigns which brought the ire of the youths.


Despite warning notice from Mohammed Abubakar Audu, Senator Amadu Ali, Senator Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane had their jeeps vandalised, clothes torn as the youth could not hide their anger against these personalities who fall on the list of common enemies of Igalaland.

Mohammed Abubakar had told the irate youths to shield their sword‎ stating that it was not in the interest of the dead political gladiator.

Prominent among those who graced the eight day prayer at Ogbonicha, Ofu Local government Kogi State were Niger State Governor Sani Bello, Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Yomi Awoniyi, Sheik Shehu Ishiaka ‎ of Abuja, Hon Rabiu Alfa of Kogi House of Assembly Ataogodo, and Suleiman Adam chief imam of Ankpa.
