A massive crowd of elderly women some half naked gathered at Ring Road in Benin, they were protesting against Adams Oshiomholes high handedness and misrule in Edo State since 7 years. The protesting elderly women expressed disappointment over the failure of Adams Oshiomhole second term and ask him and his party to go. The protest is currently ongoing and it is largely peaceful.
They said they have lost confidence in Oshiomhole shoe shining projects, lies and deceit in edo state and that Oshiomole is arrogant and shows no respect for Edo people and tradition
A former believer in Oshiomhole among the protesting women had this to say
"The harassment, intimidation, extortion and oppression my business and cutomers suffered under the state traffic officers (Oshiomole police) is something I will never forgive this administration for. All other people friendly policy preached by Oshiomole is yet to affect on edo people directly, but I have lost hope on Oshiobaba. My only hope is that the time is ticking fast on his administration.
My sole interest here is to join forces to help this state avoid future mistakes in electing autocrats and emperors."
They women also show solidarity for the Esama of Benin Kingdom Chief Gabriel Igbinedion for his enduring legacies in Edo State. The women warn Governor Adams Oshiomhole to stay clear from rubbishing the great personality of their chief.
