Former Governor of Oyo State and Accord Party (AP) gubernatorial candidate during the last governorship election, Rashidi Ladoja has so far tendered 89 exhibits before the state Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
Ladoja is challenging the victory of the state Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dissatisfied with the declaration of Ajimobi as the winners of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ladoja headed to tribunal, claiming there were many irregularities especially in some local government areas of the state.
Ladoja also joined APC, the INEC boss in the state, Dr. Rufus Akeju, and the commission itself as co-respondents.
The breakdown of the exhibits tendered by the petitioner which was admitted by the tribunal shows that 62 documents were tendered on behalf of Ladoja by his counsel, Chief Richard Ogunwole (SAN), last Tuesday with another 27documents received from three additional local government areas yesterday.
The exhibits, according to Ogunwole, contained the reports of elections conducted in Itesiwaju, which was completed from Tuesday session; Oriire, Ogbomoso North and Ogbomoso South Local Government Areas.
However, counsel to first and second respondents, Wole Olanipekun (SAN), and Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) respectively, said they would reserve their objections to the exhibits tendered till the stage of filing their final written addresses.
The reports tendered are chronological analysis of happenings during the election conducted by the lead witness in the petition, Mr. Bimbo Adepoju.
